Fifty years of hydraulics. One discipline.

1974
Ertan Soydan graduates with high honours from İstanbul Technical University, Mechanical Engineering — master's in Industrial Engineering follows in 1977. Career begins at Alarko.
1982
Into hydraulics. Ertan Soydan opens the İzmir branch of a national hydraulics and pneumatics house and leads it as Regional Director for 34 years.
2016
Soydan Hidrolik founded. Operations begin 1 September 2016 in İzmir — hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and technical equipment. The Festo dealership agreement is signed the same year.
2017
Two milestones. ERS Hidrolik Silindir Sanayi A.Ş. founded as the group's cylinder-manufacturing plant; Wessel-Hydraulik Master Distributorship for Türkiye signed in February.
2025
Bauma, Munich. Soydan exhibits under its own brand — Hydrocyl™ cylinders and complete systems presented to the European market.
2026
Hydrocyl™ configurator announced for Q3 — online cylinder configuration on hydrocyl.com.

Ertan Soydan.

İTÜ Mechanical Engineering, high honours, 1974; master's in Industrial Engineering, 1977. Department engineer and İzmir sales manager at Alarko; PVC construction supervisor during the establishment of Petkim. In 1982 he opened the İzmir branch of a national hydraulics and pneumatics distributor and led it for 34 years before founding Soydan Hidrolik in 2016. Chairman of the 1st and 2nd National Hydraulics & Pneumatics Congresses; İzmir Chamber of Commerce professional committee member 1991–2013; Board of Trustees, İzmir University of Economics.
